I may or may not have had dreams yesterday about teaching in airplane boxers that I made in grade 8, with all the kids whispering and laughing (in Korean). Not like "why doesn't he have pants" mind you, but "why is he wearing underwear in winter...." Or maybe my translation was a little off. It happens.
I also had dreams about starcraft, which we may or may not be playing a lot of these days.
I think those are the two leading symptoms of E.K.O. Extreme Korea overdose....
Korean language underwear teaching dream + starcraft dream= time to go home.
On a more serious note...I have a week off at Christmas time...which for those of you who are following is bizarre given the one day video shoot day debacle. I am quite sure they forgot I had holidays in my contract when they refused. The next day, they were saying we weren't going to have a winter break (public schools have a month...every other academy has a week) and I was like "um...actually we have holidays....so...yea". It was more eloquent than that - don't worry. And they were like "oh yea...." (and no it wasn't more eloquent than that). I was feeling very angry about being too nice and for some reason it felt really good to put a foot down and get some results.
So now they are faced with the embarrassing situation of me having the Christmas week plus one extra day after Christmas and not knowing when they want me to take the extra day having just refused my request. (Gee....I have an idea! How about the one day I asked for? Idiots) Like I said, I'm pretty sure they forgot I had holidays (Korean teachers don't) Idiots. One more time, just for good measure. Idiots.
The other unfinished story for those begging for conclusion is the camera, which I went to see in Seoul but was all out of stock and I couldn't see it, let alone buy it....alas and alack. I did buy a flash though, and Christmas presents and import food galore. Expensive weekend last.....

Good to know about the camera! I never did like stories that didn't have an ending...
Your vacation saga is interesting. Whatcha gonna do over your well deserved Christmas break?
We've got white stuff all over the grass. White and cold. Makes GREAT slushballs!
Take care...
Say, I was "forced" to overhear a camera buff conversation where one fellow said that the new Olympus model will only ever last 6 months max....they are committed to improving the camera to a new model that quickly (or at least changing it). Thought you'd find that interesting.
Crazy holiday story. Hope you can work it all out to your advantage.
